We are pleased to announce that two of the major projects for the year are complete:
- The irrigation replacement project was completed on time. Our vendor, with the help of Mike Caudill and his team, ensured that this project went according to plan as we changed all of our irrigation heads and control systems on the golf course from hydraulic to electric. Congratulations on a job well done.
- The fairway bunker was completed about a month ago. The bunkers look beautiful and drain very well. Unfortunately, the fairway bunker shot from soft, new sand is a lot more difficult than from firm, older sand. I am sure Bryan would love to give you a lesson if you need help.
Projects still in progress:
- The turf nursery project that will give us 2 acres of available turf for course projects is almost complete. The area is level and graded and all irrigation is installed and functioning properly. We will sprig the area next week and begin the grow-in process. Luckily this project does not affect play at all.
- The culvert on hole #11 is being replaced. It will take approximately another three weeks if the weather cooperates. Golfers will play hole #11 as a par 4. Please just follow the temporary path from #10 green to the temporary tees on hole #11.
We really appreciate the members’ cooperation during these projects and please remember to fill divots, rake bunkers and fix ball marks. We all have a part to play in making the course great.
Have a wonderful weekend!
